Zhuhai Microsis has developed two types of bus analysis/test equipments according to AS4111, AS4113, AS 4116 and AS4115, the MIL-STD-1553A/B test standard arranged by SAE. AT15000 is a 1553B bus device tester, used to test the protocol and electrical characters of the Bus Controller, Remote Terminal and Bus Monitor. AT15800 is a 1553B network tester, used to test connectivity and electricity of 1553B bus network.

AT15000 could complete the tests described in AS4111, AS4113 and AS4116 independently. Together with AT15800, it can also perform the tests of AS4115, the 1553B bus system test standard.

With AT15000, AT158000 and some other instruments integrated in, CAT-I could perform both device and bus system tests. In CAT-I AT15000 communicates with AT15800 via Ethernet. To facilitate the communication, a 10/100M Ethernet switch is integrated in CAT-I. In CAT-I, AT15000 works as a control unit. It’s in charge of the operation of the whole CAT-I, including sending test instructions, inject stimulus and measuring the response. At the end of the test, AT15000 would provide users a test report file. The test result, the test value and the waveform, etc. would be recorded in the report file.

To facilitate the tests, a user-friendly human interface is designed, including a large size LCD, a keyboard and an USB host interface, etc. Without PC, users could complete all the tests through fewer keyboard touches, and also could they get the details of the test procedure by reading the information on the large LCD. Via USB host interface, users could import script file, export test reports from/to a U-disk.

Except for the stand-along mode, CAT-I also support on-line mode. Under this mode, users could control the CAT-I from a PC. Together with CAT-I, Microsis would provide customer a PC based software “TestMaster”, which could run under “Windows” Operation System. “TestMaster” implements most of the functions needed for the MIL-STD-1553A/B bus simulation, analysis and test.

The default height of the CAT-I is 37U, with the width of 19 inches. Microsis would like to customize the height according to the customer requirements.

Ⅱ.FEATHRES
2.1. Automatic test
As an automatic test equipment (ATE), CAT-I could complete the bus device test and bus network test automatically, and doesn’t need any human intervention.
2.2. Script driven
CAT-I applies the script-driven test scheme, users could select the test item, define the test order via the script file.
2.3. Generates test report file automatically.
At the end of the test, CAT-I would generate text format report files, which facilitates product quality control and tracking.
2.4. Variety of built in test/measure instruments.
2.4.1. AT15000
As the control unit of the test system, AT15000 integrates an oscilloscope, an any wave generator, a LCR and a Time Domain Reflectometer, used to generate the stimulus and measure the response.
The built-in multi-function MIL-STD-1553A/B controller could simulate 1 BC, 1 BM and 32 RTs simultaneously, and it is also capable of injecting all the errors defined by AS411X.
2.4.2. AT15800
AT15800 is a bus network tester. Together with AT15000, it can cover all the test items except the bus continuity test defined in AS4115.
AT15800 provides up to 32 bus stub connectors and 4 main bus terminal connectors. It could complete the tests defined by AS4115 without any human intervention during the test procedure.
2.4.3. Device test box
2.4.3.1. Simulates an idea bus network, to eliminate the bus network affection.
2.4.3.2. Injects the differential mode noise and common mode noise onto the bus network.
2.4.3.3. Provides electrical test interfaces for device and bus network.
2.5. Built-in Ethernet switch.
2.6. Standard 37U movable cabinet.
2.7. 220V AC power supply.
