ColorTyme franchisee elected to the APRO board of directors

Sept. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS, Nev. – ColorTyme is proud to announce that Shawn DiLeo, a multi-unit franchise owner from Kentucky, won a spot on the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) board of directors.  

The election was held Monday, Aug. 31, during the general session of APRO's 2009 Convention and Buying Show in Las Vegas.

“It’s good to see all my hard work pay off,” DiLeo said.  “My first priority is to fit in and give any kind of support I can to the organization.  I also want to provide some good leadership and new, fresh ideas that may help encourage other people to join APRO.  The stronger the organization, honestly, increases our chances and resources to continue our legislative fight.”

DiLeo started his campaign for the board about six months ago.  The APRO board of directors was a natural fit for him, especially after serving on both the Oregon and West Virginia state rental dealers associations.  He also served as a state association president five times throughout his RTO career.

“I’m excited about working with the other directors, who work for competing companies and who I’ve known throughout the years,” explained DiLeo.  “Of course, I want to evaluate my goals and align them with the board’s goals – that’s important.  I’m also here to represent my fellow ColorTyme franchisees.”

DiLeo has come a long way in his RTO career, which started when he joined Rent-A-Vision as a delivery driver.  Today, he owns three ColorTyme stores in Kentucky.

“I’m excited about this opportunity,” DiLeo said.  “I’m passionate about this industry.  It’s an honor to be elected and I’m eager to get started.”
