Aug. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- LONDON – Six-year-old friend of child prodigy Peter Imafidon, Jude (Jide) Alli has today become the youngest student to pass GCSE Mathematics examinations which was released to over 600,000 students all over the nation. They wrote the exams with other candidates who were over twice their age.

Jude Alli, Peter’s best friend, became this year’s youngest GCSE Maths success achieving a grade D. Competitive Jude was inspired by Peter’s success at Maths GCSE aged six. They first met at the famous ExcellenceInEducation.org.uk programme a non-profit alliance of charities, companies and churches that works with school children in inner-cities or socially deprived areas. They play number games at the St Cliwom Church, on Old Kent Road in South London which runs the Excellence in Education Gifted programme, but Jude attends an ordinary school - Victory Primary school in south London.

Peter and Paula got grade C each in Double GCSE in ICT/Computing. They have now set another record – the youngest ever students to pass a double GCSEs in ICT/Computing. Samantha, their immediate senior sister achieved a B. Jude said he loves playing "Beat-the-Calculator" number games (from The Mathematics Manual) against Peter. But he confesses that “Peter wins most of the times because Peter is just too fast with numbers in his head”.

Jude wrote the GCSE paper at the age of six and now hopes to improve his number game skills Peter made light of the rigour of the examination and said: ‘ICT/Computing was just about knowing the right keys to push until the file opens up. You have to wait sometimes but you have to save your work every time. Then after that you can play games on the laptop.'

Other successful students included 10-year-old Phoebe Osei, 12-year-old Grace Ajitena and 15-year-old Victoria Ajitena amongst others. They worked from the best selling Mathematics Manual book which was written by Peter's senior siblings Samantha, Christiana, and Anne-Marie Imafidon.

Meanwhile, Peter and twins sister, Paula Imafidon along with their classmates have written a book, with a foreword by the popular children author Jacqueline Wilson. All proceeds from the book go to the school, and other educational charities.

EIE pupils nominated the Royal Marsden Hospital as their charity of the year.
