Lab Armor’s Waterless Bead Bath Wins Scientists’ Choice Award
Newcomer Lab Armor is getting noticed in the science community for reducing contamination events
By: Lab Armor
SelectScience announced the winners of their Scientists’ Choice awards at the ACHEMA 2009 Exhibition in Germany with 180,000 attendees from 100 countries. The awards were based on the results of an independent poll of more than 23,000 scientists from the SelectScience.net community, who were asked to nominate and vote for their favorite new products.
The award-winning Bath Beads are highly recyclable and more energy efficient than water while also eliminating laboratory water bath contamination, maintenance and the use of harmful germicides.
“We are always having to clean the water bath and having problems with contamination with the water bath. Since we’ve gotten the dry bath, we haven’t had any contamination issues.”

In addition to their award-winning Bath Beads, Lab Armor offers several other products, including the Cool Beans Chill Bucket and StayTemp and Walkabout bead trays, to help labs go waterless, even iceless.
Lab Armor’s current customers include: Amgen, National Institutes of Health, Pfizer, Yale, University of Virginia, Applied Biosystems, University of California Berkeley and others.
