Urban Christian Artists Take A Stand!

Birmingham recording artists use faith as a tool for good.

Aug. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Concerned about the negative messages that some urban music promotes, two young ladies have gathered some of Birmingham’s top Gospel artists for a compilation CD. Twins Clair and Rose Rogoff are releasing a compilation CD entitled Central Streets of Soul (CSOS).  The CD is set to be release in November and features some well-known names such as Sammy G, Solar Angelics, Owen Uriah and award winning reggae artist Spanna.  Clair and Rose known professionally as Clearrose also make an appearance on the CD.

CSOS is an impressive mix of rap, reggae and R&B.  The project aims to demonstrate that urban music can be used to present positive messages whilst being extremely entertaining.  The production and presentation of this project is impressive and the fact that so many successful independent artists have agreed to work together clearly demonstrates the cohesion of Birmingham’s gospel music scene.

In the lead up to the November release, the CSOS project will be having several live performances in Birmingham the first of which is at Birmingham Christian Centre’s MAIN ROOM on Friday September 11th at 6:30pm.  Tickets are just £2 in advance.
