PRLog -- Setooz.com which has recently launched a beta version of it's local language web search engine, has announced their new Persian addition today. The search engine now supports 23 languages with this addition and says it plans to add more soon. Setooz aims to become the world's local language search engine and has begun with a few pilot languages.
The search engine is capable of automatically learning about the local language and providing better quality search results. The search engine would automatically improve it's understanding of the language as more and more users use the system. The company said, the ability to handle morphological variations of query words is their first step towards improving the search quality and they soon plan to add more features.
The Persian version of this search engine is customized for the right-to-left alignment as opposed to the conventional left-to-right layout of websites. The text box is conveniently placed at the top right corner of the page and always stays there.
