Video not working in IE 6 and 7? - How to fix your videos!

June 19, 2009 - PRLog -- We've been hearing a lot of complaints from web designers about this problem since the Internet Explorer update was released.

The complaint usually goes something like this:

A user has Flash Player 9 (or other version) installed on their system and everything works fine with IE6. Then the user runs the IE7 update and their computer stops showing Flash content on sites like YouTube or MSN video and other Flash sites. However, if the user goes to some other sites with Flash content, the content will play just fine, even if the site requires the Flash 9 Player.

We're not exactly certain what causes this bug, but I blame Internet Exploder! You will probably be prompted to download and install the most current flash player. You probably already have it installed on your system anyway, but like all of us - I'm sure you have tried reinstalling flash - unistalling flash and then reinstalling it again. This probably didn't work.

For embedded flash movies you must make the DIV ID tag for each video unique and update the URL in all 4 locations shown below.
