Free new bridgemagazine online: Bridgevaria.com

Since the 9th of june 2009 a new free, bridge website can be visited at www.bridgevaria.com .

June 9, 2009 - PRLog -- The site is made by Ed Hoogenkamp (author of Dutch monthly BRIDGE), Peter van der Linden (ex-editor of BRIDGE and the Daily Bridge Calendar) and Pien Steringa (former DTP responsible of BRIDGE).
Bridgevaria.com is not a news site, since there are enough of those. It is a ‘do’-site as well as a ‘read’-site, as such a site is badly needed. One of the ambitions of the makers is: every day new content.

On the one hand the site consists of bridge puzzles, -quizzes and -problems (the 'do'-part), on the other hand it features bridge articles, -columns and stories (the 'read'-part). Combined the two parts make up an ideal mix of learning and entertainment. The makers invite visitors of the site to submit their own stories, the best of which will be published. The 'interactive' part of the site consists amongst others of the question section.

The makers have more than won their spurs in the world of bridge publicity.
Fourteen years already Hoogenkamp is an author for BRIDGE, he has contributed regularly to IMP, the magazine for advanced players, and the Daily Bridge Calendar as well; furthermore he is (co-)author of a number of books about bridge, for instance the almost finished course 'Van A naar Bridge' (‘From A to Bridge’).
Van der Linden was editor of BRIDGE for over thirteen years, produced (being the editor) and wrote seven Daily Bridge Calendars and is Hoogenkamp’s co-author of 'Van A naar Bridge'.
Steringa was responsible for DTP (Desk Top Publishing) at BRIDGE for five years; afterwards she established herself as a freelance web programmer.
For questions or remarks please contact the editors at info@bridgevaria.nl.
