June 8, 2009 - PRLog -- As lead sponsors of the Best Places to Work breakfast, Boston-based staffing firm Hollister and the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) today extended congratulations to the 60 companies the Boston Business Journal has recognized as the best places to work in Massachusetts.

“Hollister has chosen to sponsor the Best Places to Work event since its inception in 2003 because we recognize the value in creating an attractive work environment. Today’s job seekers are looking to work for companies with personality and that put employees first when it comes to daily office life,” said Kip Hollister, Founder and CEO of Hollister. “The companies that the BBJ recognizes annually understand that each employee is integral to their success and therefore an asset. They are committed to nurturing a stimulating, positive work environment, as a means to retain and attract quality employees.”

Hollister reached out to a handful of the companies the Boston Business Journal will honor at a breakfast on June 11 and asked how they have cultivated award-winning work atmospheres. You can view the questions and answers on Hollister’s blogs www.bostonhiringblog.com and www.bostonjobsblog.com.

Bob Eubank, the Executive Director of NEHRA said, “Because people are important to the success of an organization, human resources is at the center of a company's ability to be profitable. NEHRA has chosen to sponsor the Best Places to Work event because we want to celebrate the 60 companies the Boston Business Journal has recognized for creating and maintaining positive work environments and also reinforce the message that how we hire, support and grow employees is critical to bottom line success and sustainability.”

The Best Places to Work are selected based on the results of employee-satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questions that addressed work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, company support, recognition of achievement, relationships with co-workers and supervisors, and benefits. Categories include small, medium, and large-sized businesses.
