The Society for Clinical Data Management recently published three revised chapters of best practices for Good Clinical Data Management Practices, SCDM’s award-winning resource for clinical data managers.
By: Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM)
The chapters were update to reflect changes in the industry:
*Data Privacy* now contains more in-depth discussion of regulatory definitions of what constitutes private data, specific areas of focus in protecting private data, and how data privacy regulations may impact studies operating over multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
*Database Validation, Programming and Standards* includes expanded information on distinctions between systems validation, study-specific validation and user acceptance testing.
*Medical Coding Dictionary Management and Maintenance*
The revised chapters are available now to SCDM members at no charge through the SCDM Web site, www.scdm.org. Non-members may access the entire GCDMP document (including the new chapters) for a fee. Podcasts of these chapters are in production and scheduled for release in Fall 2009.
