“This event will recognize Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), local corporations and minority advocates for their extraordinary efforts in strengthening the local economy and improving economic opportunities for the local minority community,” said Ronald B. Garnett, President & CEO of the San Diego Regional MSDC. “The honorees positively impact and improve economic conditions in our community, and from this we all benefit greatly. “And those who attend will be treated to one of the hottest jazz fusion bands on the charts today, Hiroshima, whose album “Little Tokyo” celebrates the ethnic diversity of America ” Garnett added. The awards being presented include: Corporation of the Year, The President’s Award, Supplier Diversity Achievement Award, Minority Supplier of the Year, Advocate of the Year and MBE Partnership Award.
