Kolkata to host an exclusive seminar for Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

May 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Indian Franchise Association & Young FICCI Ladies Organization, Kolkata jointly to host an exclusive forum on ‘Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through Franchising’ on 28th May, 2009 at The Conclave Kolkata. The seminar will be inaugurated by Ms. Gunjan Poddar, Chairperson, Young FICCI Ladies Organization, Kolkata.

Some of the speakers who will be addressing the forum are Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Co- founder, the Council for Global Education and City Montessori School, Lucknow, Ms. Arpita Mittal, Executive Principal, Helen O’ Grady, School of Drama, Mr. Santosh Srivastava, President Sales & Business Development of Gitanjali group, Mr Pawan Gadia, Vice President, Ferns N Petals and many more….

On the occasion a special award will be announced for the Business Women Entrepreneur of the Year, Eastern Region which will be an initiative of Indian Franchise Association.

According to Colonel (Retd.) Upendra Sachdev, Executive Director, Indian Franchise Association “We are organizing a special one day forum on Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through Franchising wherein we have invited experts from the industry to present business opportunities through franchising for Women Entrepreneurs.  This session would highlight the points that are important for a franchise.”

“We would be awarding the Women Entrepreneur of the year for Eastern Region, which in my opinion would be source for encouragement for the next generation.” Further added by Colonel  


The Indian Franchise Association has been incorporated as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to share information, knowledge and experiences, set standards and promote best practices in franchising.
