Robert J. Grant is the co-founder of the Virginia Beach Chapter of I.A.N.D.S. (International Association of Near-Death Studies).  I.A.N.D.S. is the oldest and largest group of its kind in the world, founded by Kimberly Clark Sharp, whose profound near-death experience was chronicled in her bestselling book, After the Light. He was the founding editor of The New Millennium Journal, in 1996.  The bimonthly publication explored Cayce’s readings and the correlations with contemporary spirituality and science.   During his time as editor, he wrote and edited many articles, interviews featuring theologians Houston Smith, Richard Drummond, Harmon Bro; pioneering researchers, Raymond Moody, M.D., Larry Dossey, M.D., Scott Sparrow, and Matthew Fox, among others.  The journal enjoyed a large international readership for five years. While working at the Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., Robert worked as the Public Information & Outreach Coordinator for five years (1992-1996).  Drawing from His media-outreach efforts resulted in many prime-time television programs, international documentaries; and many PBS TV and radio programs on the life and work of Edgar Cayce.  He appeared on the NBC television special, Ancient Prophecies, which aired to 13.5 million viewers. While in the U.S. Navy, Robert served as a news anchor for both television and radio, and was a feature-writer for many military publications.  He was subsequently awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for journalism excellence for his news coverage after the terrorist bombing during the Beirut Crisis.   He wrote, produced and directed numerous news segments for television while deployed to the Eastern Mediterranean on the USS Eisenhower. Now a free-lance writer and speaker, Robert is a popular presenter throughout the U.S. and Canada, well known for his entertaining and in-depth lectures and seminars.  Author of five books, including the bestseller, The Place We Call Home—Exploring the Soul’s Existence After Death, Robert is featured in the award-winning film documentary, Edgar Cayce: The Beautiful Dreamer, now available on DVD.
