Farming Biodiesel, Inc. To Be Featured In PBS Television Series ‘Worldview Program’

Farming Biodiesel, Inc., host of the upcoming 2009 Jatropha Conference & Expo will be the focus of the new PBS television series titled Worldview Program. New Eye Productions begins filming for Worldview at the Jatropha Conference, May 15-17, 2009.

May 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Desert Center, CA—Farming Biodiesel, Inc., a sustainable, social Jatropha farming organization, in association with New Eye Productions and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), announces they will be featured in the upcoming television series titled Worldview Program.

Created for national public television stations by independent production company New Eye Productions, the 30-minute documentary series will focus on global issues, which includes sustainability and green initiatives.  Worldview Program will be available to all PBS affiliates and air nationally weeknights from 8:00-11:00 p.m., with a market reach of 17 million households. The 30-minute program will be available to an additional 375 PBS stations for a total viewing reach of over 100 million households. The television series will also be available to online viewers at www.Neweye.tv.

“This is a series that focuses on global issues,” says New Eye Productions Director Mike Meeker, “and green initiatives and sustainability are right there. We're really excited about biodiesel and sustainability and Farming Biodiesel, Inc. puts those ideas into action. We want people to know it’s ‘going down’ right here, right now.” Specializing in inspiring content, New Eye Productions has the ability to shoot, edit and air shows with a one to two month turn around time. “This means we are providing real time, relevant programming that addresses issues we face now,” adds Meeker.

Filming for the PBS series will begin May 15, 2009 at the 1st Annual Jatropha Conference & Expo hosted by Farming Biodiesel, Inc. The Jatropha Conference & Expo will feature seminars and live demonstrations on green farming and offer tours throughout the 320-acre sustainable Jatropha farm located in Desert Center, California. “We are thrilled that New Eye Productions will be filming our conference and we are eager to share our knowledge of Jatropha farming, biodiesel and the larger issues of sustainability and renewable energy with the viewers of PBS,” says Michael Reardon, Farming Director for Farming Biodiesel, Inc.”
