RatesToGo - Another strong partner in the Cultuzz network

Internet sales are becoming more and more important for hotels and at the same time more versatile and confusing. Cultuzz has now connected the strong online hotel channel RatesToGo and therefore facilitates the hotel sales a bit again. With RatesToGo, Cultuzz offers additional interesting sales potential to its customers, which yet doesn't require any extra effort. RatesToGo's special feature is the concentration on last minute bookings, which means that in this way free capacities can be sold on short notice.

"CultSwitch" is a Web service which makes it possible to send room availabilities and rates directly from the hotel software (PMS) to numerous distribution channels. For that purpose Cultuzz saves all the relevant information of the hotel, such as availabilities, rates, pictures, room descriptions and directions, in a central data base and forwards these in automated process to the distribution channels. Incoming bookings are also reported back to the hotel software, so that a closed information circuit is generated.

All partner hotels of Cultuzz who use "CultSwitch" are enjoying remarkable time savings through the automatic data synchronisation, since manual data input is redundant and rate parity on all booking channels as well as prevention against overbooking are given. "Our customers should not waste their time with the maintenance of an extranet", says Dr Reinhard Vogel, Managing Director of Cultuzz. "Therefore it is important to us, to create direct and efficient connections to all big distribution channels."

On the booking platform of RatesToGo, hotel rooms can be booked for special last minute rates. The incoming bookings are first forwarded to "CultSwitch" through the XML interface and then to the respective hotel. Since the last minute specialist is linked to its parent company, the online booking portal HotelClub, which is located in Australia, hotel bookings can come in this way as well.

RatesToGo is a global website which has specialised in last minute accommodations. The portal allows bookings up to 28 days in advance and offers an immediate booking confirmation (check-in on the same day) for over 16,000 hotels in 1,800 cities in 85 countries. RatesToGo was founded in 2002 and belongs to the world's second largest online travel agency Orbitz Worldwide.
