April 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Every time we “power up” our digital devices we are faced with the risk of viruses, fraud, spyware, cyber bullying, theft, and of course, “Sexting”. Fortunately there is an (some say heroic) organization dedicated to proactively reducing our risk of experiencing the devastating consequences that occur from the aforementioned irresponsibility and villainy.

Who are these crusaders?

They are known as the Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Responsibility, a.k.a I.R.O.C.2 (That’s “I ROCK”…the 2 is silent).

There are many worthy and invaluable organizations that offer the public intelligent and necessary tips and safety information about important and relevant issues that affect us online, so what makes I.R.O.C.2 so different?

It is their unique and innovative approach.

The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication utilizes a more interactive, straight forward and unique approach when communicating their message to society, showing us how to proactively avoid trouble through their concept of Digital Responsibility.

The Institute is summoned by a wide variety of public and private institutions from educational facilities to corporations to communicate the consequences of poor online judgment to their audiences through their unique blend of technological and psychological expertise.

"As a teacher and a parent, I find IROC’s information to be essential. What IROC’s, Richard Guerry, had to say was clearly eye opening and jaw dropping to our middle schoolers. We are teaching and parenting a generation that is hard-wired completely differently than us. This is necessary information for all children and adults to learn to use technology wisely and safely. Thank you for an awesome seminar!" says an educator from a NJ Middle School.

A parent present at an I.R.O.C.2 seminar also went on to say, "I was blown away when I heard Richard Guerry's "Sexting Is Stupid" Presentation the past March. I am familiar with this issue and the dangers of this digital age, but even I was amazed at some of the stories, lessons, and information in the presentation. Richard is a powerful speaker, and the presentation is influential. I would highly recommend this seminar to anyone that uses the internet or owns a cell phone."

Their seminars not only provide an effective new way of thinking when using digital technologies, but illustrate why it is necessary to employ their concept of "Digital Responsibility" through basic technological concepts and methods to compliment their message, and illustrate how quickly and easily poor online judgment can produce devastating consequences.

Think about it...

Despite all of the information and media available to us about internet safety, how many of us, especially tweens, teens, and young adults are really seeking out this information for ourselves?

The I.R.O.C.2 Speakers Bureau brings their unique program to you.

If you use the internet , cell phone, or any digital technology, it is strongly recommended you visit this innovative and acclaimed organization’s website at www.iroc2.org to find out why their message might just save your life.
