New College Student Empowerment Ezine Launched

The College World Reporter goes beyond news and information, and provides readers with professional advice for success from leading authorities and experts in business, education, and industry.

April 8, 2009 - PRLog -- In December 2008, The College World Reporter (CWR), empowerment student ezine was launched.  Although there are many other very fine college publications that provide news and information, and promote social networking, the CWR is different in that it focuses entirely on student empowerment.

For example, while some publications tell readers where the jobs are, the CWR helps prepare students to successfully compete for those jobs, by providing advice and information on career planning from one of the foremost authorities on this subject, Ms. Terry Pile, GCDF, Principal and Senior Consultant with Career Advisors of Mercer Island, Washington.

The CWR recognizes that we live in a violent world, and unfortunately, college campuses are not a cocoon that is impervious to that violence.  Being aware of the possible dangers to students both on and off campus, the CWR provides authoritative information and advice to readers to promote personal and campus safety and security.  The CWR Security Focus is written by one of the most qualified people in the security industry, Mr. John Enright, a retired U.S. Secret Service agent, who currently serves as President of Enright & Associates of Barrington, Rhode Island; a global security management and investigations firm.

The CWR also includes a monthly feature, Leaders, Mentors, and Role Models, which presents readers with positive role models, who are successful professionals and business leaders.  These special individuals share their life experiences and explain to readers what it takes to be successful, and the steps necessary to enter their career field.

The CWR believes strongly in cultural and gender diversity, and to that end publishes special issues for Black History Month (February), Women's History Month (March), Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month (May), Hispanic Heritage Month (September), and Native American Heritage Month (November), in celebration of  cultural and gender diversity.

The CWR is also an international publication, and is now being made available to the students at Hong Kong University in China, the publication's first step into the international arena.

Readers will be delighted with the April issue which includes:

A special report on domestic violence against women in the aftermath of the highly publicized incident involving popular recording artists Rihanna and Chris Brown.  The feature story, Women Under Attack:  Survival In the Age of Tolerance, includes interviews and comments from best-selling author, speaker, and relationship expert, Dr. Iyanla Vanzant, and psychologist, author, speaker, and domestic abuse expert, Dr. Jeanne King.

In the monthly feature, Leaders, Mentors, and Role Models, the CWR presents part 1 of an exclusive interview with best-selling author, speaker, entrepreneur, and networking expert, Mr. George Fraser.  Mr. Fraser offers much insight into the use of networking in all facets of life, and helps college students understand how they may use networking to their advantage.

The College World Reporter is America's student empowerment ezine, and will continue to focus on providing readers with empowerment information, education, and resource tools.  To get your FREE subscription visit the company's website, www.CWRMagOnline.com.
