Why Puchase a Tankless Water Heaters Reviews

There are four top reasons that most people decide to purchase a tankless water heater

March 23, 2009 - PRLog -- 1.   You are looking for ways to reduce your utility bills.
2.   Your current water heater needs to be replaced.
3.   You are tired of not having hot water when you are ready for it (I was one of those people)
4.   Because you are wanting to make your home “Greener”

Any one of these reasons could have led you to deciding to purchase a tankless water heater but for me the main reason was because I never had hot water when I wanted it. So here is my story I wanted to share with you on how it saved my sanity.

I have a family of four and there always seemed to be someone needing a shower. I worked full 12 hour days so getting a shower and getting my 8 hours of sleep was the only thing that got me through the days. Everyone knows that with kids you have to give them their baths at night and put them to bed, it really is the only way for those bundles of energy to sleep through the night. But by the time they had their baths we were completely out of hot water so I was the one that had to wait an hour just so the tank could reheat the water. This always led me to be very snappy with my family and at work the next day because I was not getting enough sleep. Finally after months of this it just so happened that my old regular water heater gave out. That was when I decided I was going to invest in a tankless water heater.

When I went to my local store to buy a tankless I found out two things instantly. First they had to order the water heater and it would be a week or two before they had it in. Now I knew that if it was going to take time for them to order it for me why couldn’t I just do the same and order it online and save money. With the free shipping I found, that delivered right to my door by the way, and it on sale I saved over $300 right away. Second was that choosing a water heater could be a difficult choice if you didn’t know what you needed. There are many types that you can choose from. You have whole house (which is what I needed) but for the whole house tanks you have to choose outside or inside, gas, electric or propane. I mean the list goes on but wow you just have so many options. Which is great but can be a bit of a headache if you don’t do your research first. That is the only downfall I ever found with them but if you take your time you will figure out what you need. Its not a difficult process but its just a lot of pondering on what size you need. You are going to know the basics like if you need an electric instead of the gas but the size of the unit you get is based on how much water you use. It took me a little over an hour I think just looking at the different models before I decided on one.

So I received my water heater about a week after I ordered it online. I had it installed immediately and was like a kid in a candy store. I was so excited I just couldn’t wait to try it out. That night everyone had their showers (some at the same exact time) and were all in bed for a full 8 hours of sleep!!! I was even more excited when I received my utility bills the next month. I figured it up and I am saving on average about 25% on my bills. That is around $100 savings for our family every month and we could really use that extra money just to pay for gas in our vehicles at that time! On average the switch to a tankless is suppose to save 15-35% so I figure I got right in the margin on that one. Any savings was good to me. I figure that even though a tankless does cost a bit more than a regular hot water heater, I will not be wasting energy to heat water over and over and the tank will eventually (3 years by my estimate) pay for itself.

I am so glad I made the switch to tankless and since I work in the plumming industry I feel I must tell everyone the great benefits of these.
