March 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Research Triangle Park, N.C. – WorkSmart, a leading provider of Information Technology services and solutions in North Carolina, has announced their sponsorship of the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) Emerging Technologies and Trends Breakfast Series. WorkSmart will serve as the 2009 exclusive Business and Information Technology Consulting sponsor, along with SonicWall and Microsoft for the duration of the series. The first event was held on February 24th from 8:00 am to 10:30 am at the Cardinal Club in Raleigh and featured Ricky Ayers, WorkSmart’s Chief Financial Officer as moderator.

The six event series is designed to provide robust networking opportunities and intends to introduce new technologies and trends that will keep North Carolina at the forefront of innovation. Each program will feature an interactive panel and attendees will receive a tour of the host facility. Registration for per event is $30 for NCTA members and $50 for non-members and is open to the business community. The next event is scheduled for April 28th.

“The ‘Emerging Technologies and Trends’ series is essential for ensuring that North Carolina is both innovative and progressive with respect to technology. It is constantly evolving, and our focus, just like NCTA’s, is to keep businesses aware of such changes,” said Ricky Ayers, WorkSmart CFO.  “As we strive to lead our industry, it is only natural for us to work with NCTA to sponsor this series.”

“NCTA’s new breakfast series is geared toward highlighting how technology is changing and improving the way organizations do business,” adds Brooks Raiford, President and CEO of NCTA.  “Our first session on the use of software to achieve cost savings is especially timely in this economy, and we’re pleased that NCTA’s technology provider WorkSmart is helping make this session possible through our sponsorship.”
