Follow on Google News | Cadbury Kitchen Get Five Stars From EHO9 March 2009: Kitchens at the region’s premier hotel have been given the highest accolade in terms of cleanliness following the latest Environmental Health Officer (EHO) visit.
By: Laurence Awarded five stars for ‘Kitchen Cleanliness’ Mark Hands, group general manager said: “We strive to maintain the highest standards at all times and this vindicates our strict policy to ensure our kitchens are kept spotlessly clean at all times. The kitchen staff deserve a huge pat on the back and should be extremely proud of themselves. This doesn’t mean we can rest on our achievements and will make sure we maintain such high standards.” During the visit the EHO checks a number of different areas including food delivery and storage, refrigeration, food preparation, cooking, employees and kitchen hygiene, giving an overall score. Questions asked includes are food deliveries made by suppliers at the proper temperatures?; Richard Wilcox executive chef and procurement manager added: “We have a duty of care for our customers and not surprisingly restaurants occupy a special place in health and safety matters. “Not only do the staff need to work and be protected according to health and safety regulations, but the work we do has an immediate bearing on the health and safety of our customers. Unless we operate to the highest standards, we wouldn’t be able to serve the outstanding food that’s become synonymous with Cadbury House.” For further information on Cadbury House or to book a table at therestaurant please call T: 01934 834343.
