Feb. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- There are some places that are worth going to if you are in Lanai. One of them is Shipwreck Beach. Most of the road is cobbled when driving from Lanai City to the beach, but the last part requires a 4wd. This beach is the best bodyboarding beach in the summer. It is a great place for people who like tone.

A requirement for every tourist coming to Lanai Island is time at the Local Gentry. It is in the lovely shop that native and guests like to visit with the great clothing discoveries that Jenna Gentry Majkus, the owner, delivers for us.

Munro Trail is one of my favorite trails. The trail takes you through tropical forest, sandy foundations, red dirt up to a peak of about 3400 feet. It was absolutely wonderful, incredible landscapes at every point of view, but make sure to take some foodstuffs with you.

If you’ll have a chance to visit any Hawaiian Island you certainly should visit Mike Carroll and his charming wife at the Mike Carroll Gallery. It’s across the street from Dole Park. His paintings make people feel like they know the people of this special place better.

Visit the golf course at Manele that is the best on the Hawaiian Islands. The views from there are entirely exciting. The course is fair but complicated. They offer a number of tee boxes and have GPS to show you where to hit and not to hit it.

As you can see there’s a lot places to see on Lanai Island. I didn’t mention them all. But I can make you sure that you won’t be boring there no matter what is your age and interests.
