Matthias described a job as being a J-O-B; just-over-broke.  “The worst jobs are the ones that are focused on making your boss richer, which is really just about every job out there.  Therefore, being your own boss is the secret to getting rich.  Fear, among many other things, is the number one reason people continue to stay in their jobs, toiling to make others rich, while they are barely making ends meet. “

Matthias realizes that not everyone can just up and quit their job; however, they can start side projects, getting their feet wet by being their own boss, even if it’s just part-time.  He explained that many entrepreneurs start out small and they grow over time, eventually, quitting the J-O-B.

Matthias said, “Don’t allow fear and lack of confidence to hold you back; try often and fail often.  It’s OK to fail, as long as you learn from failure and try again.  Entrepreneurs do not think of failure as being the end; they accept failure as being the beginning of something even better; an opportunity for improvement.”

Matthias Schmelz stressed the importance of focus, as he said, “Stick with the goose that lays the golden egg.  Do not diversify into many unrelated projects; become an expert at what is working for you and watch it grow.  The psychology of success is ‘when you see something that works, adopt it; when it isn’t working, do the exact opposite.’  Very wealthy people know how to recognize opportunity and respond quickly to get the most out of their investment.
