NakedIndie.com welcomes testers in Alpha after 3 years of development.

Jan. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- NakedIndie.com launches it’s alpha testing phase after 3 years of development with a custom collaborative filtering system, e-ticketing system, social networking, video and music uploading and delivery and so much more. Established by it’s founders Jason Appleton, a mixed martial arts promoter and owner of the MMA Big Show and Cincinnati, OH native who came from the music business with previous bands such as Extra Blue Kind who topped the college charts and received video spins on Much Music, MTV2 and 35 other video networks nationally on his vanity label Opulent Records and Joe Mulica, a close friend and private financier of Appleton who is the co-owner of 12th & Porter, a historical music venue in Nashville, TN where many of today’s top acts got their start, NakedIndie.com has been developed to help people connect in ways no other site today delivers.

The overall goal of NakedIndie.com is to maintain a focus on music while keeping the site open for all sorts of entertaining content and let the users dictate what they want to see through our collaborative filtering system. As bands and artists rise in popularity on NakedIndie.com we will take them to the next level by featuring them on our own shows, booking them for live concerts at our various venues and streaming their performances live on the site.

“We can take the top music videos of NakedIndie.com and help get these videos spun nationally on a variety of music video networks that bands may not otherwise have access to which helps all of us expand our awareness.” Explains Appleton.

NakedIndie.com is now hosting a contest to find new bands, spokes models, fighters and other acts of interest to be featured in the MMA Big Show. Those selected will take part in the live mixed martial arts events at the Belterra Casino Resort and Hotel which will be broadcast live as two hour specials nationally and will be cut into half hour shows. Users just need to upload their audition videos to NakedIndie.com to be considered. This will be an ongoing effort throughout the alpha and beta testing phases of NakedIndie.com

Functionality of NakedIndie.com
1.   Custom Collaborative Filtering – NakedIndie.com will learn what the user enjoys on the site such as rock music videos, country songs, fight clips etc, and present the user with new content each day pertaining to his or her interests.
2.   E-Ticketing – Venues on our site that book bands from the site to perform will be able to sell e-tickets on both of their profiles. Whats more? When a user purchases a ticket from the site they will be able to see profiles of other users that have purchased tickets as well and make new friends with similar interests and support their favorite bands together.
3.   Social Networking – Connect and build relationships with other users.
4.   Music & Video Uploads – Users will be able to upload their own songs and or videos to be delivered from their profiles which will be rated by other members of the site.
5.   Playlists – Users will be able to create and trade playlists of content found on the site which will help establish top Tastemakers of whom will be featured on our own shows streamed from the site letting people know what’s hot.
6.   Custom Shows – NakedIndie.com is focused on aiding bands and developing artists and will be featuring the top rated bands at various times to book them live gigs to broadcast live on NakedIndie.com as well as VJ features of their music videos and more. As the top talents rise to the top, NakedIndie.com will be there to take them to the next level of exposure, without charging them feature fees like other sites.
7.   Profile Customization – NakedIndie.com’ Admin Control Panel has so many options for customization, uploading and the like that the user will feel truly empowered to accomplish anything they want.
