By: Cox & Kings India Ltd. Speaking on the occasion, IRCTC Managing Director, Dr Nalin Shinghal said that this train would be a landmark in the growth of luxury tourism in India. The combined strength of IRCTC in rail based tourism & hospitality and Cox and Kings in high-end international tourism, would make this latest state of the art train, an epitome of luxury and comfort. This unique train breaks all state boundaries and will traverse through multiple states in India, thus showcasing India in totality. Speaking on the occasion, Cox and Kings Managing Director, Peter Kerkar said, “We welcome IRCTC’s initiative in breaking state boundaries for a luxury train. We are happy and excited on being selected as their partner in this venture that shall redefine luxury trains not just in India but the world.’’ The train will carry nearly 100 passengers in 15 passenger coaches and will have two bars and two restaurants. It will have an ultra modern kitchen and a boutique. The train has many firsts to its credit. • First to have four different classes of passenger accommodation: • State of the art pneumatic and hydraulic suspension system ensuring smoother train ride. • All passenger cabins to have micro processor based climatic control. • Environment friendly toilet system.
