CWahi is a division of Crosswinds.net, a web host that was established in 1997, and was one of the original free hosting providers. The downturn of the internet economy (the dot-Com Crash) necessitated the launch of paid web hosting and the termination of the free service in 2003. Crosswinds has been in operation for over a decade, offering a full complement of paid hosting services. Since 2003, the Crosswinds team had the desire to offer free web space to clients once again.
