| Two Wheel Driver Launched!Inaugural golf & music event a success/ proceeds awarded to georgia cancer center
“We had great weather, an immaculate golf course and a renowned music venue,” said the project’s founder, Mark Augustyn. Three prominent bands, Bain Mattox & Shot from Guns, The Beggars’ Guild and The Wrights lent a hand to provide a quality show. “It could not have happened without the support of the people who attended. It is amazing how many people have been touched by cancer and how much they want to help,” said Augustyn. On Friday, November 7th, the TWO WHEEL dRIVER crew delivered a check to Dr. John Barnes with the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care located in Blairsville, Georgia. “Thanks again for your generous donation of time and money for our patients. It will be put to good use for the patients’ comfort, treatment and education. On behalf of the patients, nurses, technicians, therapists and doctors, thanks again,” said Dr. Barnes. “Delivering that check was a proud moment for TWO WHEEL dRIVER,” said Augustyn. “The dream of this organization is coming into fruition. We look forward to building on this event’s success and delivering more checks to organizations that fight and prevent cancer.” TWO WHEEL dRIVER would especially like to thank the following for their support: KTM North America, BikeBandit, 13thGreen, Smith’s Olde Bar, Fox Bros. BBQ, Sweetwater Brewery, United Distributing, Sierra Nevada, The LvngRm, Edwin Watts Golf, Golfsmith, Bridgestone Golf, The Vortex, and the Atlanta Police Department. In the vein of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Round, TWO WHEEL dRIVER is a traveling tribute to Randee and everyone else who has been touched by cancer.
