This brilliant narrative has all the elements of a present day suspense novel with fantastical, yet politically relevant subject matter.  Its metaphor of the fallen protagonist being put in extraordinary circumstances to test his integrity results in page-turning excitement.

Dr. Ian Newbegin is a writer and high school teacher of Mathematics.  Newbegin has published study guides and scholastic journal articles.  Mr. Newbegin taught karate and meditation/relaxation techniques to his students which led him to his expertise in mindfulness and its power.  Gleaning information from his studies and teachings, the concept of mind control was born into the creation of his novel.  He is currently working a series of sequels to Stay:The Search Begins.  Mr. Newbegin has four children, six grandchildren and lives with his wife near Melbourne, Australia.
