Dr. Andrew Weil and Fox Restaurants Launch New Eatery With Brand Development by Nocturnal Design

Nocturnal Graphic Design Studio develops restaurant brand identity for new eatery launched by famed author and nutritionist, Dr. Andrew Weil and Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Nov. 6, 2008 - PRLog -- PHOENIX, AZ – Nocturnal Graphic Design Studio has again provided their branding expertise to Fox Restaurant Concepts (FRC), to develop a sophisticated visual brand identity for True Food Kitchen, FRC’s latest venture located at Phoenix’s posh Biltmore Fashion Park. True Food Kitchen is founded on the principles and lifestyle approach of Dr. Andrew Weil, and is the first eatery with which the best-selling author has aligned himself.

“We enjoy collaborating with Fox,” says Nocturnal Creative Director Ken Peters. “It’s a dynamic, innovative company, that understands bridging strategy and design creates a competitive advantage. It’s a fundemental reason why they’ve continued to grow and prosper, and we’re honored to be a part of their team” Nocturnal has been FRC’s go-to source for that competitive advantage for the last eight of their 12 total restaurant concepts. Fox previously turned to Nocturnal to develop visual identities for The Counter, (which they later had Nocturnal retool to become Chloe’s Corner) and The Greene House, both located at Scottsdale’s Kierland Commons, as well as Tucson’s Zinburger, Montana Avenue and Blanco (location number two opening at Scottsdale’s Borgata in November), and their flagship concept Olive & Ivy, at the Scottsdale Waterfront.

Developing the True Food Kitchen identity started with figuring out the perfect name. Nocturnal provided hundreds of naming concepts and explored a variety of visual directions. “True Food Kitchen immediately resonated with Dr. Weil and the team at FRC,” says Peters. Once the name was in place, fonts, a color palette, and a photographic language were created to support the restauran’ts themes. True Food Kitchen features green and recycled materials creating a warm, relaxing spa-like feel, with a subtle Asian influence. The visual branding developed by Nocturnal takes cues from interior textures and textiles, as well as from the global themes of the cuisine. Nocturnal’s branding included the logo, menus, signage, print advertising, direct mail promotions and more.

Nocturnal also collaborates with the team at FRC in the development of internal and external corporate imaging and communications, as well as ongoing branding and advertising for all 12 of Fox’s restaurant concepts spanning more than 20 locations across
Arizona, Colorado, Kansas and Texas.

In addition to the restaurant industry Nocturnal services a broad range of clientele in a variety of sectors including; medical / dental, consumer electronics, building and development, pharmaceutical, entertainment and film production, hospitality, specialty boutique retail, and more. Through innovative thinking and creative solutions Nocturnal helps it’s clients connect with customers, build brand value and succeed.
