Lafferty Motorsports Development Driver Russ Dugger Returning To Phoenix

Nov. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- Russ Dugger will be once again taking the wheel of the #89 Lafferty Motorsports Duct Seal Technologies Chevrolet Silverado at Phoenix International Raceway for the Lucas Oil 150 on November 8th.

Despite a disappointing Martinsville trip impacted by a rainout during Friday practice, Dugger's efforts on-track merited NASCAR approval to compete on the fast 1-mile Phoenix circuit.  The team is taking advantage of Dugger’s new clearance to make additional headway in his development before the season ends in two weeks.

Lafferty Motorsports owner Chris Lafferty said, "Both Russ and the team learned a lot about working with one another in Martinsville, and we were all impressed with his performance.  We're definitely excited to have him back in the seat for the Phoenix race to show what he's really got."

While Phoenix represents a different challenge for Dugger, he's excited to have another shot at competing with the sport’s top names.  "All of the people I met in Martinsville – especially Mike Skinner and his team – were so gracious and helpful to me.  I can't wait to get back behind the wheel and see how I stack up against those guys.," Dugger said.
