PRLog -- Michael F. Collier is an executive chef for Hershey Country Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the country since 1930. It features two 18-hole golf courses, two full service restaurants, a pro shop, and a complete practice facility that includes a short game practice area with bunkers, 35-station driving range and a putting green. Michael has been with Hershey since 2003 and in his present capacity since 2005. He has over thirty years of experience as a chef and was well known even before his graduation from The Culinary Institute of America, in 1981. Michael’
s passion for cooking started at age of 9, with an introduction from his mother, a great baker and confectioner. Following graduation, he worked in Dallas and traveled to Europe to increase his knowledge of classical French cuisine. Michael went on to become the regional culinary manager of ESPN Zone, executive chef of Fireman’s of Brooklyn and The Red Eye Grill in New York City, and the regional trainer and chef at The Cheesecake Factory. Joining Hershey Entertainment & Resorts in 2003, Michael was initially a chef at The Fountain Café of Hotel Hershey, where he enhanced cuisine and greatly improved service levels. Presently, as executive chef and food & beverage director, Michael oversees a staff of 40 and delivers an innovative approach to cuisine with a focus on nutrition, unique flavor combinations and creative presentations. Michael is equally ambitious on a personal level and compliments his professional achievements with an admirable roster of personal undertakings. He assumes an active philanthropic profile in the Hershey community and supports the Channel Kitchen and local food bank. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing golf and being a coordinator for Hershey High School’s lacrosse team.
