| Further entertainment confirmed for Swansea's firework display 'Sparks in the Dark'With just over a week to go, more details have been confirmed for Swansea’s spectacular firework display ‘Sparks in the Dark’ on Wednesday 5th November.
By: City and County of Swansea Welsh outfit ‘Electrovamp’ The girls have supported ‘Girls Aloud’ in concert and their single ‘Drinks Taste Better When They’re Free’ was released on October 13th. Also on stage will be Swansea based musician Karl Morgan and The Wave and Swansea Sound’s ‘Search for a Star’ winner Naomi Parker. The stage entertainment will be hosted by The Wave’s Badger and Swasnea Sound’s Kev John’s. ‘BBC Last Choir Standing’ winners ‘Only Men Aloud’ will be headlining the evening’s entertainment. Consisting of students, musicians, teachers, a gardener and a pharmacist their repertoire encompasses music from 15th Century to modern times. Children’s entertainers and fire jugglers are also going to be on hand to provide additional excitement. Frances Jenkins, Strategic Manager for Tourism Marketing and Events said “Sparks in the Dark is sure to be packed full of exhilaration. Not only will there be spectacular fireworks, but the entertainment and live music are sure to appeal to all tastes”. ‘Sparks in the Dark’ takes place on Wednesday 5th November with gates opening at 5.30pm and fireworks starting at approximately 7.30pm. Tickets have now gone on sale with standard tickets £4 in advance or £5 on the night, concessions £3 in advance or £4 on the night, PTL (Swansea) £2 in advance or £3 on the night. Due to the popularity of ‘Only Men Aloud’ people are advised to buy early to avoid disappointment.
