Oct. 20, 2008 - PRLog -- Tribal Fusion and Social Evolution is author and student Sushant Kumar’s newest book about Ancient Indian history. It’s comprised of five essays on Vedic history. The Vedic Period (or Vedic Age) is the period in the history of India during which the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism, were being composed.

This thought-provoking and enlightening book is a collection of research articles presented by Kumar in sessions of the Indian History Congress and Bihar History Congress. Four chapters were presented as papers at these sessions.

Sushant Kumar analyzes the demographic situation, accordingly the Aryan migration model. Tribal Fusion and Social Evolution contains studies on tribal structures, culture, demographic settlements, and the collapse of the Indus political-economic system followed by the formative phase of the Rigvedic period and the subsequent demographic expansion in the Ganga Valley.

Kumar also discusses transitions to settlements, with reference to the archaeological sources discovered hitherto including Ochre Color Pottery (OCP), Black-and-Red Ware (BRW), Painted Grey Ware (PGW), and Northern Black Polished Ware (NBPW).
