Shaw Hospitality Group hosts HD Boutique Green Day Luncheon

Sept. 17, 2008 - PRLog -- Shaw Hospitality Group will sponsor the Green Day Luncheon Wednesday, Sept. 16, prior to HD Boutique Expo & Conference, which will be held Sept. 17-18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Green Day provides educational programs and interactive sessions related to green practices in the hospitality industry. During Green Day, attendees can review the display regarding Shaw Hospitality Group’s Contradictions carpet tile debut. Contradictions carpet tile collection is the first 100-percent recyclable, cradle-to-cradle certified carpet flooring option in the hospitality industry. Manufactured with Shaw Industries’ Eco Solution Q® nylon and EcoWorx® tile backing, Contradictions is fully recyclable in a closed-loop, cradle-to-cradle process that turns fiber into fiber and backing into backing.

   Shaw Industries’ Eco Solution Q and EcoWorx backing are the only carpet products to receive Cradle to Cradle Silver Certification from MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry), a third-party consultancy founded by world-renowned architect William McDonough and innovative chemist Dr. Michael Braungart. Contradictions’ fiber and backing contribute to the U.S. Green building Council LEED® Green Building Rating System.
