Aug. 31, 2008 - PRLog -- The Glynn Jackson Agency launches its initiative Style to Vote aiming to get Barack Obama into the White House. This initiative supports hairstylists to encourage clients to vote. Do you have what it takes? Are you a fabulous beautician? Can your salon stand the challenge? Join Style the Vote at Hairtopia on November 2, 2008 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida at 6 p.m.

The statement, from Glynn Jackson, the founder and executive director of the Golden Scissor Awards and the owner of Glynn Jackson the Agency, follows:

“A client may sit with their stylist for hours, at least once a week or every two weeks, sometimes more. You build a rapport with your client and they begin to trust you. You begin talking about what you should do to take care of your hair and move on to other topics such as health and politics. This is the opportunity we are trying to seize with this initiative. We want the stylist to encourage their clients to make a difference, to go out and vote for Barack. We want Hairtopia to help raise awareness.”

Two competitions, one place, Hairtopia will host the Bijoux Salon Stage Competition where America’s Top Salon will win $5,000 and a chance to advance to the 16th Annual Golden Scissor Awards. The second competition is the Bijoux Hair Diva Individual Competition with 1 model/ 1 stylist first place winner will receive $3,000, second place $1,500, and third place $500. Come show your talent. All stylists must use Bijoux Beauty Element Products to participate.

Thehairstyler.com states that “there is a kind of therapy or unqualified counseling sessions that go on between hairstylists and their clients in salons all over the world. Your hair stylist is usually the best person to tell and dump all of your problems to.” According to Nielson 78% believe word-of-mouth is the most powerful tool in marketing.

Combining the most powerful tool and the stylist client relationship is the great idea behind this initiative. Style to Vote T-shirts are available. For more information contact Ms. Antranett Waters at atntravel@yahoo.com or at (202) 906 -0680.
