8GB Samsung Omnia Released by Vodafone UK - Samsung i900 Omnia

The new Samsung smartphone range has now expanded to include the SGH i900 Omnia 8GB edition which has now been released on Vodafone in the UK. We explain the benefits of this new network release and review the Samsung Omnia 8GB features and design.

Aug. 26, 2008 - PRLog -- The latest smartphone release from Samsung has now been picked up by Vodafone in the UK, the Samsung Omnia is the most recent touchscreen mobile phone to be released by the manufacturer and is available in two editions, an 8GB and a 16Gb version.

It is the Samsung i900 Omnia 8GB edition that Vodafone have decided to release with no news as to whether they will also offer the larger memory version, however the 8GB Omnia has room for memory expansion up to 16GB by using MicroSD cards for those that need the extra space for music files, videos, applications and games.

Originally launched on O2 and Orange contract deals, this new network launch means there are even more tariff packages to choose from for consumers trying to find the closest calling plan to suit the usage requirements. The handset’s is available in 8GB or 16GB versions, plus up to 16GB of additional memory can be added using the microSD card slot, meaning a total memory capacity of 24GB or 32GB handset dependent.
