Sichuan's Earthquake Affects Tourism in China

June 9, 2008 - PRLog -- A strong earthquake measuring 8.0 on Richter Scale Magnitudes hit Wenchuan, Sichuan Province on May 12, 2008. Quite a part of areas in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Yunnan, and Gansu provinces have been cruelly destroyed. The Chinese People's Liberation Army, rescue teams from home and abroad together with the local govenment and people are struggling against the big disaster.

For security reason, China Tourism Authority has requested that all travel agents temporarily stop to organize travel groups to the detinations in or around the disastrous areas.
