And Again…Office Plants Do Have Health BenefitsA recent study by the Agricultural University of Norway has proven once again the health and emotional benefits of office plants and planted office displays.
By: SearchLogic The research carried out by the Agricultural University of Norway will now take its place amongst the large volume of other evidence that proves that office plants do have beneficial health effects. The study which was conducted by Tina Bringslimark found that office plants did appear to reduce levels of fatigue, headaches and coughs amongst the 305 office workers tested. The study comes at a time when business owners are taking notice of ‘green schemes’ on the back of the renewable energy push and more companies are realising the benefits of office plants. With numerous studies, including this latest research, highlighting the ability of planted office displays and office plants improving the health, morale and stress levels of employees, the evidence in support of office plants is overwhelming. When asked about this latest research, Daniel Foster, Director of Fosters Breathing Space, an interior landscaping company based in the UK commented; “I’m really happy that more people are taking an interest in office plants and their benefits. The studies from the 1980’s demonstrated clearly the positive effect office plants had on office workers and this latest study, for me, only clarifies it further.” With the latest research from Bringslimark and her colleagues now reaching a wider public audience it is expected that more and more business owners will be alerted to the benefits of office plants. # # # Fosters Breathing Space specialise in supplying indoor and office plants for plant displays to brighten up offices, showrooms, and special events.
