By: Intern. Association of Outsourcing Professionals The newest IAOP Chapter will host a Webinar on May 13, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CDT). The event is free and open to users, advisors and providers of outsourcing services who are individual or corporate members of IAOP or their guests. Chapter chairs Lori Blackman, President of Dallas, Texas-based DNL Global, and Julia Santos, Director of Worldwide Strategic Outsourcing, Johnson & Johnson will moderate and participate in a discussion on “How Will the 2008 Economy Impact the Outsourcing Professional.” Human Capital industry experts will discuss the characteristics of an outsourcing provider, buyer and advisor, and predict emerging markets in 2008 that can provide new career opportunities for professionals in the field. IAOP formed the chapter to advance the human practices in outsourcing through facilitated and highly focused discussion and research involving operations and HR professionals. The chapter’s goal is to increase the understanding of the benefits that strong global sourcing managers and human capital practices and processes can make on the results of strategic sourcing programs.
