Proceeds from the book sale were given to the Daughters of Penelope for their charity causes. "The Lion and the Nurse" is described by former congressman Michael Bilirakis as "...a proper follow-up to my Big Fat Greek Wedding." It is a romance that takes place on the Greek island of Kos, where Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, lived and taught.
