Singles Mingle To Be Held in Atascadero

Feb. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- The Central Coast Singles will hold a Singles Mingle in Atascadero this Friday, February 22 at 7:00 PM. It will be held at Hoover's 101 located at 6900 El Camino Real. This mingle is open to singles of all ages on the Central Coast, whether or not they are a member of the Central Coast Singles. The event is free, but attendees will purchase their own meals.

The Central Coast Singles is a group formed in 2005 with the goal of bringing single adults together to meet and have activities together. "Meeting people can be rough for singles," says Gerald Craig, founder and director of the group, "especially when you live north of Cuesta Grade. It acts as a barrier to people who would otherwise gladly travel the distance between San Luis Obispo and Atascadero or Paso Robles."

"We plan to add other events," he added, "like dinner, bowling, dancing, travel, game nights, movies, and much more." The group has had events for New Year's, Valentine's Day, as well as a tour of the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse and a visit with the Elephant Seals of San Simeon. Their most recent outing was a trip to Solvang, with karaoke and dancing after.

Central Coast Singles also has other events around the area. The group had a pre-New Year's potluck, comedy show, and dance to close out 2007. "We had more than 50 singles at that event, and people had a great time." Craig stated, "Our pre-Valentine's Dance attracted more than 70 singles, and was a big success. We even had attendees from Paso Robles, and as far away as Los Alamos!"

"There should be something for everyone. We are currently looking at a trip to Disneyland in the next couple months. We have volunteers that help find fun things to do, and are enthusiastic about creating activities," noted Craig
