Feb. 5, 2008 - PRLog -- Whats Local Magazine, to create 20 additional jobs in Chelmsford;

Whats Local Magazine, the publishing division of M T Media Limited is to create 20 additional jobs at its Chelmsford offices as the business prepares for growth and further roll out of the published Magazines, under the brand of ‘Whats Local Magazine’.

“Whats Local” is a free to pick up Magazine, published by M T Media Limited. The Magazine is available to pick up for free at selected retailers, which include household names, such as BP Retail, Texaco, Somerfield, Tesco, Sainsbury and others.

There are now 12 regional editions, covering 25 of the London Boroughs and extending into Sussex, with the recent launch of Brighton and Hove. The plan is to launch more issues of the publication across the South East and Whats Local Magazine is now completing an additional lease on a further 1,980 square feet of Office space in Chelmsford to allow the expansion.

The additional 20 roles being created include Sales, Customer Service, MAC Design Studio, IT and Support functions.

Speaking about the expansion plans, Daniel Corby, Managing Director said, “The team have worked really hard since our formation in July 2007 to have produced a high quality Magazine. Repeat custom is building all the time, the public perception of the Magazine is great and February sees us break the ½ million issues mark, which for a new start publisher is amazing to see. Our expansion plans will allow us to take the business to the next level”

M T Media Limited operates two consumer brands, numbers4life, a reseller of free-phone and 0845 telephone numbers and Whats Local Magazine, the free to pick up Magazine publisher.

Telesales Executives, £32K OTE, Based Chelmsford

MT Media Holdings Limited is a fast growing Publishing and Telecoms reseller, where we sell advertising in our own Magazines and we also sell Free-phone and Alpha Numeric Numbers to small and medium sized business customers.

Due to continued, expansion of businesses, Whats Local Magazine and numbers4life, MT Media are now seeking to appoint a number of additional Telesales people to our team.

You would be based at our Chelmsford town centre offices and be responsible for cold calling and securing new business on a daily basis. You may be working on either our Magazine business, “Whats Local Magazine” or our Telecom business, “numbers4life”. On a typical working day, you’ll be making around 140 cold calls to small business owners, advising them on the most suitable packages to their business and closing new business.

The culture of the Company is work hard, play hard, and whilst you don’t need prior sales experience to become successful at MT Media, you do need to be outgoing, self motivated, target driven and competitive.

If you have the above skills, our comprehensive training programme, which includes product knowledge, systems training, sales skills and customer appreciation skills, will make you successful in the roles.

Career progression is readily available for people that have the right skills. Progression into Sales Management roles could be within the matter of months rather than years! – Equally, nobody will push you into a role that you are not suited to, or a role that you are not keen to develop.
