To my utter astonishment, there wasn’t one regularly-updated website with listings for restaurants, bars, events or anything else for that matter,” Schaefer said from his home office. “Even the local newspaper has failed to fully grasp the power of the internet. Today’s always-on broadband audience gets most of its information from the internet, so I saw a need and filled it, and now this thriving community has its own website.” The B-Town Blog has already done stories and listings on local businesses, like Dan the Sausageman, The Tin Room Bar, 909 Wine and Coffee, wine tasting/stage plays at E.B. Foote Winery and much more. Schaefer is now going door-to-door to businesses around town, introducing himself and making connections. Schaefer’s goal with the B-Town Blog is to eventually turn it into a full-time business, but right now it’s all about getting the word out, finding people to contribute stories, getting event listings from local bars and restaurants, and building up a solid audience. Burien is an incorporated suburb just south of Seattle, Washington, with a population of 31,881 (2000 census). It is located 4 miles west of SeaTac International Airport and is bordered on the west by Puget Sound. For more information, please visit http://www.b- Website: www.b-townblog.com End
