Seahawks playoff tickets officially go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday for the team's NFC wild-card game. The Seahawks, the conference's third seed regardless of this weekend's results, will host the game on either Saturday, Jan. 5, or Sunday, Jan. 6.

Tickets can be purchased by online at www.TicketGirl.NET. There is no limit per person, and they can only be purchased by credit card.

Tickets are expected to sell out within 30 minutes, the team said in a statement. There will be no sales at the Qwest Field box office or Ticketmaster outlets.

Playoff possibilities

Win or lose Sunday, the Seahawks will play Washington, Minnesota or New Orleans at Qwest Field in the playoffs.

Coach Mike Holmgren prefers to avoid discussion about postseason speculation. That has always been his way, until someone in his family reminds him of what is at stake or what could happen. The players, though, aren't immune to whispering about the playoff picture.

Washington comes to Seattle if it beats Dallas on Sunday. The Vikings are here if they beat Denver and Washington loses or ties. The Saints have to win at Chicago and hope the Vikings and Redskins lose. Washington holds the tiebreaker if it finishes with the same record as Minnesota and New Orleans loses.

"The scenarios come up, but you know, I don't think we focus on it," wide receiver Deion Branch said. "We always talk about this and that. We're not naive to what's going on, we know what's going on. We know out of those three teams we've played two of them. I haven't seen Washington but we all have played that team before."

The Seahawks defeated Minnesota 30-13 in the exhibition season and lost to New Orleans at home 28-17 in Week 6.
