Oct. 15, 2007 - PRLog -- Th3rd World Studios (http://www.th3rdworld.com) is pleased to announce that their second title Space Doubles is listed in this month's edition of Diamond Previews.

Space Doubles, a retro double feature showcasing some of the hottest/upcoming talent in comics, is presented in flip-format. Each half of the book tells an original sci-fi tale ranging from alien invasions to space flight to just about everything in between. Online review site Ain't It Cool News calls Space Doubles "A treat to read and a must-see for sci fi/horror fans."

"Space Doubles seemed like a cool project to get involved with because we really felt that the retro sci-fi feel of the series was something we could work with and do something we hadn't tried before,  said Leah Moore, co-writer of  Obeah."

Issue one features  Obeah  by Leah Moore and John Reppion ( Albion and Witchblade ) and  Red Rain  by Mike Raicht ( Deadworld: Frozen Over and Marvel's MAX Zombie ). Moore and Reppion's tale is set against the backdrop of a blackened planet and focuses on the scientists attempting to colonize it, while in Raicht's story, something large enough to be seen by the eye has landed on the moon and it's up to a team of seven to investigate.

"We were drawn to the sheer amount of talent involved both on the production side and from the other creators", said John Reppion, co-writer of Obeah... "We knew we'd be kicking ourselves in the future if we didn't come up with something for the series; we couldn't afford to miss out."

Space Doubles features an impressive international list of talent spanning the globe and includes the work of Leah Moore, John Reppion, Mike Raicht, Mike Baron, Ben Raab, Andrew Dabb, Jason Hall, Mark Andrew Smith, Dwight MacPherson, Jeremy Dale, David Barkmann, Alecia Rodriquez and many many more.

Asked about his participation in the series, Mike Raicht had the following to say;

"Having a chance to work in the sci-fi realm, even in a short story, is something I definitely didn't want to pass up. I love the genre and hopefully I brought my own special twist to it. I've been excited for people to check this book out, I've read a bunch of the stories and they are all a lot of fun. This is a cool little project and I know when people check it out they will be more then pleasantly surprised."

Space Doubles is a five issue series with the first issue hitting shelves in December. (Diamond Order # OCT073781).
