June 14, 2007 - PRLog -- By now, Tahiera Monique Brown should be one of the most recognized names in the film industry for excellence as a Casting Director. Tahiera is a former Atlanta Casting Director, who worked under the Talent Xpress Banner, under the name Barbara Clark. She worked diligently during the eighties, primarily as an independent contractor for Casting Director Dee Voight. Yet, despite all of the rewards that this industry could have brought to her, she made a decision not to pursue fame and fortune in the career that she loved so dearly and knows so well, because she loved her sister Gussie Grant even more.

Gussie was born with Cerebral Palsy. It was difficult to impossible for Tahiera to work in the film industry while she cared for Gussie, and for her own two children. On more than one occasion, she chose her children, and Gussie, over the lure of Hollywood.

Not many who know Tahiera from her days as a Casting Director realize that she had been held hostage—often at gunpoint, for over two years. After the ordeal was over, very few of the hundreds, if not thousands, that she cast in Glory, Fried Green Tomatoes, No Holds Barred, Livin' Large, In The Heat of The Night, and many other productions, knew that she had been through this tragedy, survived a coma, and suffered from Amnesia.

You are cordially invited and welcomed to gather at 6:30 PM, to meet and greet the author. The public--as well as friends, new and old, family and loved ones from the author's hometown, are encouraged to attend. At 7:00 PM, Tahiera will share a special presentation entitled, "Life is a Journey, but what choice do you make when you get to the edge of a Cliff?". The presentation will last until about 7:45 PM. The signing will continue during the 8:00 hour, and last until 9:00 PM.

Tahiera is thankful to her sponsor, Trinity Design Group, for unwavering support during her southeast promotional tour, as well as promotional support prior to the publishing of her book. She would also like to express thanks and gratitude to Borders Books & Music Cafe for hosting this event, and to Borders Books for their support of this project.

Annihilator of Innocence is the first release from the Tavine'ra Publishing, LLC imprint. The next release is entitled, "Hunger Pains in our Heads", by Mansel Philip ("M.P.") McCleave, of Siler City, NC.  McCleave, a retired Pastor, Civic Leader, and College Professor, chronicles an intimate behind the scenes look at the origin of the sit-in movement in Greensboro, North Carolina, in his soon to be released expose of this historical time period. This is McCleave's second book to be published. Tavine'ra plans to re-release M.P.'s first book, Murmurs of the Heart, as a paperback offering in their catalog.
