| The making of "Her Impact": When Film Becomes a Journey of RediscoveryIn a time when attention is fleeting and stories are told in seconds, a group of filmmakers in Bulgaria have ventured to do something radically different.
By: Bright Media Through their Indiegogo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/ The project began with a question: why do we remember so few of them? For the past four years, Teodora has been researching women's stories hidden in archives and forgotten footnotes of history. Along the way, she realised that they aren't simply making a film - they're rebuilding a narrative. These women weren't defined by obstacles, but by curiosity and courage. Each of them pursued truth in a world that told them not to. In 19th-century England, Ada Lovelace imagined the foundations of computer programming decades before the first machine existed. In Germany, Agnes Pockels conducted scientific experiments in her kitchen sink, revolutionising surface science. And in Bulgaria, Elisaveta Karamihaylova, the country's first female nuclear physicist, fought for girls to have access to higher education and scientific research. Their brilliance went unrecognized in their era. Today, this film brings their achievements into the light. But Her Impact is not only about what happens on screen. It's also about how a story comes to life. Through an open, interactive process, audiences are invited to follow the creation of the documentary - from script to editing room, from first shot to final screening. The film's community can witness how a meaningful film is built, how forgotten stories are uncovered, and how a team of filmmakers learns and grows with every frame. By joining Her Impact online, viewers can experience the stages of creation, such as research, filming, editing and distribution, and even contribute ideas or feedback. The film will have both a festival version and an educational edition, opening doors to classrooms, cultural events and discussions about women's rights and human potential. Ultimately, Her Impact is a story about a connection between past and present, science and art, women and those who finally see them. Because remembering the women who came before us is not simply an act of nostalgia, it's an act of continuation. End
