LUCKNOW, India - Nov. 2, 2025 - PRLog -- Cybercrime Awareness Meeting Held at Canara Bank Circle Office, Lucknow — Attended by Mr. L. S. Tripathi, Founder & Chairman, Beginquest Services Pvt. Ltd.

With cybercrime incidents rising sharply across Lucknow and nearby regions, the General Manager of Canara Bank convened a significant awareness meeting at the Circle Office, Lucknow. The session was attended by senior professionals, cybersecurity advisors, and Business Consultant Mr. L. S. Tripathi, Founder and Chairman of Beginquest Services Pvt. Ltd.

The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen awareness about the growing threat of digital frauds, especially scams involving "digital arrest," fake KYC verification calls, phishing links, and fraudulent banking messages. These scams are increasingly targeting ordinary citizens, senior citizens, and small business owners who rely on digital banking.

During the discussion, experts emphasized that vigilance and awareness are the first lines of defense. Participants shared real-life examples of cyber fraud and highlighted preventive actions every bank customer should follow.

Key points discussed in the session included:

Always verify the caller's identity — no bank or government department ever asks for OTPs, card numbers, or login credentials.

Avoid clicking on suspicious links, QR codes, or downloading unverified apps.

Do not panic if someone claims your "bank account is under investigation." Instead, contact your bank or the local cyber cell immediately.

Report any cyber fraud using the official helpline 1930 or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

Keep mobile and email alerts active to track every transaction in real time.

Speaking at the event, Mr. L. S. Tripathi stated:

"Cybercrime today operates on fear and confusion. The best defense is awareness. Every individual must learn to pause, verify, and act responsibly before sharing any information online."

The General Manager of Canara Bank reiterated the bank's commitment under the 'Be Cyber Smart' and Vigilance Awareness Week initiatives, which focus on educating customers about secure banking habits and data privacy.

The meeting concluded with a pledge to expand public awareness programs, promote digital safety workshops, and encourage every citizen of Lucknow to stay alert, informed, and secure in the digital era.
