PrideStaff Dallas Pledges $25,000 to Help Terminally Ill Moms Amid 3-Year Nonprofit Waitlist

The partnership officially launched on October 2nd with a celebration luncheon at Fogo de Chão in the Shops at Legacy.

The partnership emerged from PrideStaff Dallas's summer-long nomination process as part of their 25th anniversary celebration. Ally's Wish stood out due to a deeply personal connection to Elizabeth, a cherished team member who joined the Dallas office in 2021.

Known as the office cheerleader, Elizabeth brought infectious joy to everyone around her. In fall 2022, she received a colon cancer diagnosis. Her final wish was simple but profound: to join her 10-year-old daughter and mother on the beach to create lasting memories. Tragically, time ran out before that dream could be realized.

The Urgent Need

Ally's Wish currently maintains a three-year waitlist, meaning most mothers never receive their final wishes due to limited funding. The statistics underscore the critical need:

• 286,542 women died from cancer in 2021 alone
• More than 850 children lose a parent daily in the United States
• By age 18, 1 in 13 children will have experienced the loss of a parent
