Beatrice Thompson to Be Inducted into the Order of the Trojan

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Oct. 11, 2025 - PRLog -- The Olympic High School Foundation is proud to announce that Beatrice Thompson has been selected as one of the 2025 inductees into the Order of the Trojan, a distinguished recognition program honoring individuals who have made lasting and meaningful contributions to the school and wider community.

The Order of the Trojan, initiated by the Olympic High School Foundation, was created to celebrate educators and alumni whose service, leadership, and achievements exemplify the spirit of excellence and community. Each year, two educators and two alumni are honored at a formal induction ceremony.

Beatrice Thompson is being honored in the alumni category for her exceptional contributions that reflect positively on Olympic High School and serve as an inspiration to current students, faculty, and community members. Her career, volunteer work, and community leadership embody the values of service, integrity, and educational excellence that the Order of the Trojan seeks to recognize.

"I AM HONORED TO BE SELECTED BY MY ALMA MATER FOR THIS RECOGNITION AS A MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE TROJAN. MANY OF THE IDEAS AND CONCEPTS THAT HAVE BEEN INTEGRAL IN MY LIFE WERE FIRST DEVELOPED AND ACKNOWLEDGED AT OLYMPIC HIGH SCHOOL. THAT FOUNDATION HAS ALLOWED ME TO TAKE PART IN CHANGES ACROSS THE GLOBE THRU TRAVEL AND MY WORK, BEING A PART OF THOSE CHANGES BY REPORTING ON THEM FOR TELEVISION AND RADIO.TO NOW BE INCLUDED, ALONG WITH OTHER OUTSTANDING GRADUATES AND EDUCATORS OF ONE OF CHARLOTTE'S OLDEST HIGH SCHOOLS, IS INDEED AN HONOR I CHERISH....." Says Ms. Thompson of the honor.

The 2025 induction ceremony will take place on November 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm.
