Charles Sun Named 2026 Engage National Security & Enforcement 150 Honoree

Founder and CEO of Alliance for Universal Computing™ recognized by OrangeSlices.ai for building trust, fostering collaboration, and delivering solutions across national security and enforcement communities—including IPv6-only adoption leadership

WASHINGTON - Oct. 10, 2025 - PRLog -- Charles Sun, President and CEO of the Alliance for Universal Computing™ (AUC), has been named a 2026 Honoree of the Engage National Security & Enforcement 150, a peer-driven recognition celebrating leaders who build trust, foster collaboration, and deliver solutions across national security and enforcement communities.

Honorees are nominated by peers—not for titles, but for how they show up. This recognition reflects the voices of colleagues and partners who value showing up with intention, humility, and shared mission.

"I am honored—and humbled—to be recognized alongside such a group of leaders," said Sun. "This award reflects the collective efforts of colleagues and partners who make this work possible."

Sun's federal career spans more than 30 years, including 16 years in IT leadership roles at the Departments of Homeland Security, Commerce, Labor, and the Export-Import Bank. From 2014 to 2020, he served as Technology Co-Chair of the Federal IPv6 Task Force, where he championed IPv6-only adoption as a national security imperative. Following retirement from federal service in October 2025, Sun now leads the Alliance for Universal Computing™, advancing secure, future-ready infrastructure rooted in IPv6-only operations.

The 2026 honorees represent agencies and partners across the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Justice, and more.

"These leaders are shaping how national security and enforcement agencies deliver for the people they serve," said Shelley McGuire, Chief Strategy Officer at OrangeSlices AI. "They are the ones others look to for guidance, collaboration, and momentum."

Honorees were evaluated on six traits defining impactful federal leadership:
  • Open Communication: Sharing insights to promote transparency
  • Mission Focus: Prioritizing outcomes
  • Reliable Partnership: Leading with clarity and accountability
  • Community Presence: Mentoring and contributing
  • Perspective-Seeking: Welcoming diverse input
  • Innovation-Minded: Challenging the status quo
These traits embody Engage GovCon's ethos and model collaboration across government and industry.
